“As long as you keep focus on your goal, you’re on the right track”
The universe provides us with new ideas, all day every day. It’s up to us to welcome and do something with them or just ignore and waste some great possibilities and chances in life.
Why do we ignore those signs? Why do we reject new ideas coming to our mind? If we don’t embrace them and go and look for the possibilities they provide us, we loose another chance in life. Do we rather stay in our comfort zone, scared of failing. Scared of what other people might think about us? Let me tell you that you are you and not someone else. Don’t pretend to be someone else just to fit in. Show your real you and get the best out of yourself. Dare to be vulnerable. It might be scary, but hey it’s a great start in self confidence. Be persistent, as you have the right to make your own decisions in life. Don’t let others influence you in the choices you make. Don’t worry about what others do. Don’t be a copycat. Be you. You are unique!
You know, in the Master Leap classes I give, I see that people are in search for their true inner self. And I’m so proud of my group for taking those first steps towards finding themselves back, in taking steps towards a future in their true identity. We tend to forget who we are. Somehow we’ve lost ourselves on the way. We were and are programmed by our environment, society it’s thoughts and believes. We struggle with those beliefs as they don’t always fit with our personality. That’s what makes us doubt ourselves and makes us feel like losers. Go and search for your true self. The universe is pointing you the way every day.
When I went bankrupt I had completely lost my self confidence. I felt ashamed. I thought people would look at me as a failure. It was a believe and an assumption that was programmed in my mind by society. You should be ashamed if you fail … I say NO! Why be ashamed, why feel guilty, why hide? We all make mistakes in life. We all have our setbacks in life. It’s how we deal with them and how we embrace the lessons that need to be learned at that time.
So, I got back up. I went looking for a new job and instead of keeping my bankruptcy as a secret, I was honest and mentioned it during the interview. Oh yes, I was scared I must admit but the respect I got to experience was enormous. It brought back my self confidence and made my shame die a silent death.
Allow yourself to make mistakes in life as trying is failure with honor. Allow those thoughts, allow those dreams and go on a journey. Go discover your inner self. Go discover your path and enjoy every moment of it. You will be surprised by the many great things that will cross your path. Oh yes, you will encounter obstacles on your path, but hey, then just make a detour. And remember: “As long as you keep focus on your goal, you’re on the right track”
